Ronald P. Spogli
Ronald P. Spogli served as the U.S. Ambassador to Italy and San Marino from 2005-2009. He was the recipient in 2008 of the U.S. State Department's Sue B. Cobb Award for Exemplary Diplomatic Service. In 1983, he co-founded Freeman Spogli & Co., a leading private equity firm based in Los Angeles. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Freeman Spogli Institute at Stanford University. He received his B.A. in history from Stanford University and his M.B.A. from Harvard University.
