Launch Event

A gathering at Stanford to explore the “How and Why of Promoting Entrepreneurship Abroad.” The conference was cosponsored by the Hoover Institution and the Kauffman Foundation, featuring leading economists, former Secretaries of State Rice and Shultz, former U.S. ambassadors, the CEOs of organizations promoting entrepreneurship, and foreign-born entrepreneurs and VCs who have succeeded in the United States. Conferees included Hoover Institution fellows and overseers, representatives from foreign governments’ innovation centers in Silicon Valley, relevant nongovernmental organizations, academics promoting entrepreneurship, and other actors in the new venture ecosystem.
